Secrets of Harridge House
John Adams is co-creator and was Season 1 head writer of Secrets of Harridge House, a serialized audio drama jointly produced by Proscenium Players in Carson City, Nevada, and KNVC, 95.1 FM, Carson City’s Community Radio Station with the Diaz Media Group. The series premiered on Halloween 2020.
Lasting three much beloved seasons, Secrets of Harridge House was a full-cast, weekly radio series in the spirit of gothic greats like Dark Shadows. Issy, Drew, and Cate find out they are siblings and heirs to the Harridge family in desolate Harridge, Nevada. They journey to Harridge House, a dusty manor filled with macabre mysteries of science and horror. Will they live to reveal the secrets of Harridge House?
John braved a return to the haunted Harridge House in 2022 to pen the epic three-part, three-hour series finale, filling it with the disparate tropes he loves: musical numbers, celebrity cameos, campy soap-opera weddings, gruesome deaths, laugh-tracks, flash-forwards, eldritch Lovecraftian terror, hypnosis, zombies, con jobs, parallel universes, and just enough character resolution to satisfy the fans. The show truly was a labor of love!
